Blast outside Israeli Embassy could be a ‘terror attack: Envoy Ron Malka

Day after blast near Israel embassy in Delhi, Ambassador of Israel to India on Saturday stated that “Investigation was underway and gathering all evidence from the scene.”

Rona Malka, Ambassador of Israel to India, said that there was full collaboration between Indian and Israeli authorities. “As of now, our strong assumption is that it’s a terror attack that targeted Israeli Embassy. Fortunately, nobody was hurt,’ he said.

He further said that all options were there on table. “Yesterday, when this terror attack took place, we celebrated 29th anniversary of full establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Israel, exactly yesterday,” he said on blast near Israel embassy in Delhi.

Thus, it may not be a coincidence but all options are being investigated, he said, adding that “External Affairs Minister called Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Secy called our DG in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NSA called our NSA. There’s full collaboration.”

Day after blast near Israel embassy in Delhi, Ambassador of Israel to India stated that "Investigation was underway."

India gave its assurances and offered all support, protection or assistance that we need, Ambassador of Israel to India said.

On possibility of link between explosions in 2012 and on January 29, Ron Malka said that “In 2012, there was a terror attack on Israeli diplomats in Delhi not far from Embassy.”

“It might be connected, there might be a pattern. We’re investigating and this was one of the options,” he said.

He also said that “We have full trust in the Indian authorities, that it will take any measures that are needed to protect the Israeli representatives that are in India.”
