Farmers protest, Dilli Chalo agitation: Heavy security has been deployed at the Singhu border in Delhi as all the arrangements made by Haryana police at other borders were failed in front of the farmers. Punjab farmers broke barricades and marched towards Delhi.
To control the situation, Haryana police used water cannons and tears gas shells to disperse the farmers heading towards the national capital.
In view of farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ agitation, heavy security has been deployed at the Singhu border.

Meanwhile, the Haryana police has advised the commuters to avoid certain national highways along the state border with Punjab and Delhi.
A heavy police force has been deployed on the Singhu border to stop the protesters. The police said they were having clear instructions to not let the farmers enter Delhi on Thursday and Friday.

Moreover, water cannons have been set up to disperse farmers who have left from various Haryana-Punjab borders to proceed towards Delhi.
Barricades have been set up on roads to prevent farmers from entering Delhi at the Singhu border while trucks and trollies loaded with soil have also been placed near barricades.
Likewise, barbed wire fences have also been constructed to stop farmers even as tyre killers have been placed alongside barricades to stop farmers from marching to Delhi in protest against the three farm laws.
